Analisi dei gruppi: Gruppo H della Coppa del Mondo FIFA

Group H is the only group which has no previous FIFA World Cup winner. Spain & Chile still makeup for some experience of having reached the final four once each however Honduras & Switzerland are yet to make their marks.

Chile has reserved its ticket to FIFA World Cup 2006 with easy transition in the qualifiers much contrary to their work in 2002 & 2006. They finished second in the continental qualifying games after Brazil.

Alexis Sanchez, Humberto Suazo & Matiaz Fernandez are three formidable attackers who have proven their skills off late and are keen on taking their team into the final four, a feat achieved by Chileans only once in 1962 when they finished third on home ground. Humberto Suazo being the most experienced player is known to appear out of nowhere to tackle the ball to a goal.

After having won UEFA EURO 2008, Spain has managed to build a rather commendable team. They worked hard on every qualifying match and finally sailed through after defeating Bosnia-Herzogovina in the final qualifier.

Of all the qualified teams in 2010, the only captain to be a goalkeeper is Spanish Iker Casillas. Known for his sharp reflexes, he has managed to keep the team together from the goal itself. David Villa and Fernando Torers have brilliantly handled the midfield while the Xavi Hernandez single handedly carries the attack for the team. Its difficult to say if they will reach the final four entry only achieved in 1950.

Honduras has had a bumpy ride to win their ticket to FIFA 2010. Thanks to the efforts of Coach Rueda who took over the reins since 2007 guided the team to 11 goals, making it the highest record in the continental zone for this FIFA World Cup.

Carlos Pavon is the biggest draw having assured his aura with the winning goal against El Salvador to clinch their ticket. The captain boasts of midfield & attack being handled by Amado Guevara, David Suazo, Julio Leon and Wilson Palacios. David Suazo is one of the most beloved of this small nation having being noticed off late for his tactical skills.

Switzerland might be known for hospitality & cheese however they don’t seem to have made that reputation in the world of football. With no hits ever in the final four of any FIFA Football World Cup, the Swiss have managed entry into Round 16 during Germany 2006. Marking an average performance in the qualifiers, they have booked their birth for 2010 games however this will not be enough as a mere consulation.

Captain Alexander Frei is the country’s most capped player & the biggest bet the fans are counting on along with Blaise N’Kufo who is another strong attacker taken over by this Swiss since 2000.

However with no proven talent in midfield, the Swiss can have a difficult time breezing through & at least reaching Round 16.
